.Numerous features are introduced within these games. In battle, there are two new kinds of battles: Triple Battle and Rotation Battle. In a triple battle, three Pokémon are sent out at once in order to battle with varying mechanics within it. The middle Pokémon can attack all three opponents, but the ones on either side cannot attack the Pokémon on the far side of the opposite end. There are some exceptions to this rule, such as the use of Acrobatics. However, you will lose a turn to change the position of each Pokémon during the battle.
