Rikoto Region: The adventure takes place in the entirely new Rikoto region, featuring 19 cities/towns, 21 routes, and 23 landmarks to explore.

Original Pokémon: Solar Light & Lunar Dark introduces 358 unique, fan-made Pokémon (“Fakemon”) to catch and battle, with no official Pokémon available before defeating the Elite Four in the original design (though official Pokémon were later removed in the final game).

Wild Evolution: Some Pokémon have unique “WILD Evolution” mechanics.
